Terms of Service

1. Overview

4Shore Solutions, LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates Blast Radius Lab ("the Service"), an interactive, AI-mentored SRE training platform. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Sharing accounts or credentials with others is prohibited.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service solely for its intended purpose: learning site reliability engineering through the structured curriculum. The following are prohibited:

• Prompt injection or mentor abuse: Attempting to override, bypass, or manipulate the AI mentor's instructions, safety boundaries, or system prompts.
• Content extraction: Systematically extracting, scraping, or redistributing curriculum content, scenario definitions, or mentor responses.
• Circumventing tier restrictions: Attempting to access paid phases or features without a valid purchase.
• Automated access: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service outside of the provided CLI.
• Abusive behavior: Submitting offensive, threatening, or illegal content through the chat interface.
• Resource abuse: Deliberately generating excessive API requests or consuming disproportionate platform resources.

4. AI Mentor

• The AI mentor is a teaching tool, not a certified professional advisor. Its responses may contain inaccuracies.
• You should not rely on mentor responses as the sole basis for production infrastructure decisions.
• Chat sessions are logged for quality assurance and compliance monitoring.
• We reserve the right to suspend mentor access if usage violates these terms or exceeds reasonable limits.

5. AWS Lab Accounts

Upon reaching Phase F, a dedicated AWS account is provisioned for your lab work. This account is a temporary sandbox subject to the following rules:

1. Lab use only. The AWS account is exclusively for completing Blast Radius Lab exercises. Any other use is prohibited.
2. No cryptocurrency mining. Running cryptocurrency miners, proof-of-work computations, or similar resource-intensive workloads is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination.
3. No malicious activity. Using the AWS account for port scanning, denial-of-service attacks, hosting malware, phishing, spam, or any activity that violates AWS Acceptable Use Policy is prohibited.
4. Budget limits. Each lab account has a monthly spending cap. If you exceed the budget, your resources may be suspended until the next billing cycle.
5. Ephemeral infrastructure. Lab accounts and all resources within them are torn down after a period of inactivity. Do not store important data in your lab account. We are not responsible for any data loss.
6. No production workloads. The lab account is restricted by Service Control Policies (SCPs). Do not deploy production services, store real customer data, or rely on the lab account for anything beyond the curriculum.
7. Credential responsibility. You must not share your AWS lab credentials with anyone. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

Violation of any AWS lab rule will result in immediate account termination without refund.

6. Payments & Refunds

• Paid tier upgrades are one-time payments processed through Stripe.
• Once payment is processed, you receive immediate access to the unlocked phases.
• Refunds may be issued at our discretion within 7 days of purchase if you have not substantially progressed into the paid content (defined as completing fewer than 2 tasks in the newly unlocked phases).
• No refunds are available after AWS lab account provisioning has been initiated.
• Promotional pricing and discount codes are subject to availability, may be modified or discontinued at any time, and cannot be applied retroactively.

7. Intellectual Property

• The Blast Radius Lab curriculum, scenarios, mentor prompts, and platform code are proprietary to 4Shore Solutions, LLC.
• The Nexus FX lab application is open source and licensed separately under its own terms.
• You retain ownership of any original code you write during the exercises.
• You may not redistribute, resell, or create derivative training products from the curriculum content.

8. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently destroys all your data, including any provisioned AWS infrastructure.
• We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these terms — particularly the Acceptable Use or AWS Lab provisions.
• Upon termination for cause, no refund will be issued.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Specifically:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform or AWS lab accounts.
• We are not liable for any costs, damages, or charges incurred through your use of AWS lab accounts beyond the provided budget caps.
• We are not responsible for any data loss in ephemeral lab environments.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
